Sinclair Announces Initial Pricing for 'Bally Sports+' DTC Streaming App
Sinclair Broadcasting Group revealed that its long-awaited Bally Sports direct-to-consumer streaming service will initially cost $189.99 per year or $19.99 per month. The company disclosed the pricing as part of its Q1 2022 earnings report. During an earnings call on Wednesday, CEO Chris Ripley referred to the upcoming service as “Bally Sports+.” It's set for a soft launch this quarter.

Roku appears to be getting more aggressive in its bid for your attention. The Wall Street Journal reports that the company has partnered with a private-equity firm to bid on a chunk of Starz, the pay cable channel and streaming service presently owned by Lions Gate. Lions Gate has been looking to unload the property for several months, going so far as to file securities paperwork in November to formalize the separation attempt.
